ITEM 85006Dead flat black, for the parts that must not catch light: interiors, engine bays, gun barrels, camera housings and the inside of anything with a window. It is also the standard undercoat when you want a colour above it to read dark and dense.
Tamiya TS is a synthetic lacquer that cures fast and lays down glass-smooth on hard plastic. One 100ml can covers two to three 1/24 scale car bodies. Because TS lacquer is unaffected by acrylics and enamels, you can lay a base coat and then pick out detail on top in either — which is the whole reason modellers build a process around it.
Not for polycarbonate. TS lacquer will flake off clear Lexan R/C body shells. Use the Tamiya PS range for those.
