ITEM 85080The finishing coat for anything that should not look like a toy. Flat clear kills the plastic shine, unifies patches of gloss and matt paint into one surface, and locks decals down so their carrier film stops catching the light.
Tamiya TS is a synthetic lacquer that cures fast and lays down glass-smooth on hard plastic. One 100ml can covers two to three 1/24 scale car bodies. Because TS lacquer is unaffected by acrylics and enamels, you can lay a base coat and then pick out detail on top in either — which is the whole reason modellers build a process around it.
Not for polycarbonate. TS lacquer will flake off clear Lexan R/C body shells. Use the Tamiya PS range for those.
