ITEM 85013High-gloss clear, and the coat that makes the difference on a car body. Two or three passes over a colour coat give you the deep wet look of real automotive paint, and it seals decals under a single continuous surface so their edges disappear.
Tamiya TS is a synthetic lacquer that cures fast and lays down glass-smooth on hard plastic. One 100ml can covers two to three 1/24 scale car bodies. Because TS lacquer is unaffected by acrylics and enamels, you can lay a base coat and then pick out detail on top in either — which is the whole reason modellers build a process around it.
Not for polycarbonate. TS lacquer will flake off clear Lexan R/C body shells. Use the Tamiya PS range for those.
