Why buy the display instead of singles
Mega Evolution Pokémon ex carry enormous HP and damage output, but they hand your opponent three Prize cards when knocked out — a risk-reward tension that made this one of the most discussed formats since the ex mechanic launched. A sealed display is the only way to open at volume, it brings your per-pack cost well below buying packs individually, and it's the format serious collectors and stream breakers work from. It's also the safest way to buy: an unopened display cannot have been picked over.
Where this sits in the series
Mega Evolution is the first expansion of the series and the origin point for the Mega Evolution Pokémon ex mechanic, which is why its special illustration rares have held value better than most.
