Snow Ground Texture 200ml - Vallejo Diorama FX

Snow is unusually hard to fake — most attempts read as white paint or as baking soda, because real snow has a glitter to it that flat pigment cannot reproduce. This paste is formulated for that sparkle, and it is the reason to use a purpose-made product rather than improvising.

It coats easily and evenly, and can equally be heaped into drifts against walls, tracks and bases. Each coat dries in about 24 hours and further coats can be layered on for more volume, so deep snow is a matter of patience rather than technique. A snow base also does something useful for the model standing on it: the high-value white ground throws light back up into the figure and makes a dark scheme read much better on a shelf.
