Black Surface Primer 60ml (73.602) - Vallejo

Black is the primer to reach for when the model is going to be dark, metallic, or heavily shaded. Starting from black means every subsequent layer is building light back up, which keeps recesses naturally shadowed and makes metallics read far brighter than they do over grey or white.

Water-based and airbrush-ready, it goes onto resin, PVC, brass, white metal, plastic and wood without hiding detail. Build it in thin layers rather than one heavy pass; it dries fast and cures to a tough film within a few hours. Thin with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver if needed, and run the compressor at roughly 15–20 PSI.
