In 1099 the Templars broke through a gate to Hell beneath Jerusalem, and the war that followed has not stopped since. Trench Crusade picks the story up eight hundred years later, in an alternate 1914 where the trenches are held by the Faithful and the Fallen alike.
It is a skirmish-scale miniatures game: you build a warband rather than an army, pick a side in a conflict with no clean ending, and fight over ground that has already swallowed generations.
This is the version 1.1 printing — the rules refined on the back of player feedback, wrapped in 320 hardback pages with substantially expanded lore, a new cover by Thomas Elliott, and a miniatures section carrying model photography and step-by-step painting guides.
