XF-1 Flat Black - Tamiya Acrylic 10ml

Flat black in a 10ml pot — the brush-and-airbrush counterpart to the TS-6 spray, for the areas too small or too enclosed to reach with a can. It is also the base most weathering and shading work is built from.

Tamiya acrylics are water-soluble and work by brush or airbrush on styrene, most model plastics, Styrofoam and wood. They cover well, flow smoothly and blend easily, and wash out with plain water before they cure. X codes are gloss, XF codes are flat.

Thin with X-20A for airbrushing, or with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner for faster drying and a harder finish. For brush work, Paint Retarder (87114) gives a smoother, stroke-free finish.
