Ben Komets' set is notable for what it introduced as much as what it contains — this and Matt Cexwish's set brought the first Satin and Gloss finishes into the Pro Acryl line. Finish is a lever most miniature painters never touch, because almost every hobby paint dries matte. Having satin and gloss available in the same formulation means you can make leather look like leather and lacquered armour look lacquered, without varnishing selectively afterwards.
The colours themselves — Dark Sea Ben, Petroleum Brown, Green Oxide — sit in the complex, slightly murky register that rewards careful blending. A portion of each sale goes back to the artist.
