OVERVIEW
Starter Set 01 is the cheapest complete way into Gundam Assemble, Bandai’s hex-based tactical miniatures game. Everything two players need is in the box: six mobile suits, the cards that run them, a map, terrain, dice and the rulebook.
The six suits are drawn from four different Gundam eras rather than one, so the set works as a sampler as well as a starting army — RX-78-2 Gundam and Char’s Zaku II from the original series, Wing Gundam Zero EW and Gundam Epyon from Wing, and Barbatos Lupus Rex and Vidar from Iron-Blooded Orphans.
Games run three-a-side and finish inside an hour. Two tutorial scenarios walk you through the rules in play rather than making you read them cold.
