The high-coverage acrylic formula is fast-drying and water-resistant, and adheres to plastic, resin, metal, and wood. Once dry, the paint resists handling, water, and heat, so finished miniatures stand up to regular gaming sessions. AK recommends a white primer underneath for best results.

Apply it in layers like any modeling paint and blend colours together for smooth transitions — especially useful on skin. The finish is matte, though some references lean satin due to the pigments, and any varnish — matte, satin, or gloss — can go over it without damage. You can also weather over it with any product without lifting the paint.
