Cold Covenant is a new Warhammer 40,000 novel from Black Library by Peter Fehervari, author of Fire Caste and Requiem Infernal, and part of his loosely connected Dark Coil cycle. It follows the 27th Halgarth Brine Dogs, an Astra Militarum regiment garrisoned on the frozen backwater of Oblazt under a corrupt aristocracy.

When the Brine Dogs learn their next posting is a death world, three veterans and an enigmatic enginseer conspire to desert – and their plan uncovers an ancient darkness on the very world they hoped to leave behind.
