Description
Mephiston Red is a deep, slightly cool red named for the Blood Angels Chief Librarian, and it is the standard basecoat for that Chapter's armour.
Beyond Blood Angels it anchors Khorne-aligned forces, Word Bearers, and any scheme wanting a red with weight to it rather than brightness. The Citadel Base formulation covers strongly over black or grey primer in one pass. Supplied in a 12ml pot.
Works well with
- Evil Sunz Scarlet for layering up toward the light
- Wild Rider Red for the brightest final highlights
- Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade to shade the recesses
