SKU BOD 279These contain a matte black base, black as the demon-infested warp, inlaid with a lascivious light purple and metallic gold. A matte finish and a light purple over black gives a low-sheen die that stays readable without looking glossy or toy-like.
Baron of Dice cast these in resin rather than moulding them in plastic, which is why no two are quite the same — the swirl is poured, so each die in the pack carries its own pattern. The symbol face is inlaid rather than printed, so it does not wear off the way painted pips do.
The symbols sit on the 6 face, so a hit or a failure reads across the table without picking the die up — which is the whole reason a themed set beats a handful of casino dice.
