OVERVIEW
SKU CAT35031LEThe Limited Edition printing of the BattleTech Mercenaries Box Set. The game inside is the same as the standard release; what changes is the box itself — a faux carbon fibre shell with the BattleTech chevron embossed in red, black where the retail box is not. It was produced for the Mercenaries crowdfunding campaign and has not been reprinted.
Inside are twelve pre-assembled plastic miniatures — eight BattleMechs and four combat vehicles — with two double-sided 18″ × 22″ mapsheets, two punchboards of counters, 99 Battlefield Support cards, 12 Alpha Strike cards, eight MechWarrior pilot cards, a 32-page rulebook, a record sheet booklet, a 16-page Mercenary Primer, a fiction novella, two dice, a heavy-stock reference sheet and a double-sided laminated poster.
The revised Battlefield Support rules are the reason this box matters at the table: they fold vehicles, aerospace strikes, artillery and minefields into a standard game without bogging it down, and the campaign rules let you run a mercenary command across any BattleTech era. This is a supplement. BattleTech: A Game of Armored Combat is required to use it.
