Description
Ardcoat is a clear gloss varnish, used to add shine exactly where you want it rather than across a whole model.
Brushed onto gemstones, eyes, lenses, claws and wet-looking surfaces it lifts them out of an otherwise matt finish. Applied over a whole miniature it also acts as a hard protective layer before a matt varnish goes on top.
Works well with
- Soulstone, Spiritstone and Waystone Green, to finish gems with a wet shine
- Munitorum Varnish, sprayed over the top to knock everything else back to matt
- Blood For The Blood God, which already carries its own gloss
