Size 2 is the basecoating round. It carries the most paint of the three, which is what you want when covering a whole model or working through a unit rather than detailing a single figure.

Part of AK's Effects & Details family, identified by the grey tip on the handle. The fibres are soft and flexible synthetics — they hold a point under acrylics, rinse clean easily, and cost little enough to replace without hesitation once the tip finally goes.
