ITEM 86005Black on a Lexan shell does two jobs: it is the colour for stealth and shadow schemes, and it is the standard backing coat sprayed behind a lighter colour to stop light passing through the body and washing the paint out.
PS paints are made for transparent polycarbonate R/C bodies and are sprayed on the inside of the shell, not the outside — hold the can about 30cm back and build the colour up in coats. One 100ml can finishes a single 1/10 scale body, and the cured film resists oil and fuel, so it survives nitro as well as electric.
Never use PS paint on a standard plastic model kit.
