Description
Nuln Oil is the most-used shade in the Citadel range and the quickest way to make a model read as finished. A neutral black wash, it flows into recesses and panel lines and leaves raised surfaces clean, so shadow does the work of definition for you.
As a Shade it is made to be brushed over a dry basecoat and allowed to pool. It is the standard shade for silver metallics, black armour and any scheme that needs contrast without shifting the underlying colour. Supplied in an 18ml pot.

- Leadbelcher, for instant depth on weapons and armour plate
- Abaddon Black, to line panel joins on dark schemes
- Agrax Earthshade, when you want a warmer shadow instead
